U.A.E Entry Permit

If you need a visa to visit the U.A.E., you must first get an Entry Permit. It is valid for a specific number of days, depending on the reason for your trip.

Before you travel, your sponsor must get an entry permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). The number of days you can stay in the U.A.E. with an entry permit is determined by the reason for your visit:

Transit visa: This allows you to stay up to 48 or 96 hours.
Tourist Visa: It is valid for up to 30 days if you come as a tourist.
Employment Visa: It is valid for up to 60 days if you’re here for work.

Types of visa

The U.A.E. offers four different types of visas:

U.A.E. Tourist Visas:are provided for tourism or any other purpose that lasts less than 30 days and does not need you to work or stay in the U.A.E.

U.A.E. Residence Visas:Foreigners who intend to relocate to the U.A.E. must apply for a U.A.E. residence visa.

U.A.E. Long Term Residence Visas:Long-Term Residence Visas (Investor Visas) are valid for 5-10 years and do not require sponsorship. To qualify for this sort of visa, you must invest a significant amount of money in the U.A.E.

U.A.E. Transit Visas:Foreigners who wish to travel through the U.A.E. are granted U.A.E. Transit Visas. These visas are available for 48 or 96 hours.

How to Apply for Visa

Unlike most other countries, it does not grant visas through its embassies or consulates abroad. Furthermore, you cannot submit an application for a U.A.E. visa on your own; you must have a sponsor in the U.A.E. or apply through an authorized agency, such as:

A host or sponsor who is living in the U.A.E.
Your country’s travel agencies may collaborate with a local tour operator in the U.A.E. to offer tour packages. Before paying the travel agent, be sure they are reliable and licensed.
The hotel where you are staying in the United Arab Emirates.
If you’ll be flying with one of the following airlines:

o Etihad Airways

o Emirates Airline

o Fly Dubai

o Air Arabia

If you overstay your Dubai visa, you will be fined AED 100 for each day you are in the country. Before the visa expires, you can extend any U.A.E. visa or entry permit twice for a charge of AED 600 each time for an additional 30 days.
