With the launch of Bard AI on Monday, Google officially enters the AI bots war. AI Bots despite being in an infancy stage have the potential to rewrite the rules of the game. The stakes can never be higher. Google received an overwhelming response to ChatGPT as code red and scrambled its AI wizards to come up with a response that can live up to the expectations.
Although Bard AI has been released only to selected users for testing and evaluation, we can already see a blueprint on which the next-generation AI bot is built. It uses Google’s LaMDA, short for “Language Model for Dialogue Applications” — which can engage in a free-flowing way about a seemingly endless number of topics, an ability we think could unlock more natural ways of interacting with technology and entirely new categories of helpful applications.
Difference between CHATGPT and Bard AI
ChatGPT and Bard AI are fundamentally different from each other, ChatGPT uses an offline directory of over 300 billion words or 570 GB of data to generate responses. BardAI is built on the reinforced learning and neural network concept and has the ability to learn from the internet.
This directly gives an edge to Bard AI since it has a more up to date database. The other key differences between ChatGPT and Bard AI are listed under:
- Bard AI will draw information from the data and sources already available on the internet. While Chat GPT’s knowledge is limited to the events till 2021, Bard AI will have access to the latest date and will be able to provide more fresh information.
- Bard AI, in addition to being integrated with Google’s search engine, will have access to a multitude of data, giving it an edge over Chat GPT, which is backed by Microsoft.
- While Chat GPT is prone to providing some factual errors and making up stuff, Google’s Bard AI is believed to provide more accurate data to the users.
- Bard AI has an advantage over other AI platforms, such as Chat GPT, in terms of the depth and range of information it can access thanks to Google’s enormous data collection.
- Bard will be able to distill difficult subjects into digestible, chitchat-worthy chunks. The goal is to spread knowledge more widely in a manner that is clear and can encourage learning in everyone, including kids. Whereas, Chat GPT creates content in response to the text prompt.
